Memorial and Outstanding Service Gifts

  • Commemorating a life through a memorial gift:

    • An increasing number of people are suggesting donations to Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg in lieu of flowers.
    • Others are contributing assets that are no longer needed such as life insurance or retirement account balances.
  • Acknowledging Outstanding Service by a member or specific members of our staff or volunteers by making a donation in their name to our Tribute Program.
  • Naming opportunities for our capital campaign, ranging from $1,600/year to $8,000/year for three years.

Our Wish List

  • Donating toward an item on our “Wish List,” which fall under several categories:

Resident quality of life

  • Chapel/Chaplaincy Fund – any amount
  • New bedspreads for Health Center residents – 30 at $100 each
  • New window valances for Health Center – 30 at $300 each
  • Wall-mounted flat screen TV’s – 30 at $650 each
  • Memory boxes for outside of resident rooms - $100.00 each
  • Wheelchair accessories - $25 each
  • Spa bathing areas
    • Aroma therapy – 5 at $50 each
    • Renovation of Personal Care shower rooms – 2 at $5,000 each
    • Towel warmers - $200 each

Activities

  • Activities Department Fund – any amount
  • Soft ice cream machine - $400
  • CD players – 5 at $50 each

Fitness

  • Campus-wide outdoor life trails - $3,000.00

Operational enhancements and efficiencies

  • Automatic doors for first and second floors of Personal Care - $1,500 each
  • Handicapped doors for first and second floors of Personal Care into the Health Center – 2 at $3,000.00 each
  • Touchtown internal resident TV communication system - $8,000 plus $400 monthly charge
  • External oxygen storage unit - $1,000
  • Hydraulic elevating cart - $1,500

Energy efficiencies

  • In-house laundry equipment and supplies - $6,000.00
  • ADA approved washer/dryer area for Personal Care – 2 at $1,000 each

Environmental stewardship

  • Landscaping/Gardening resident workgroup to maintain campus flower beds - $300/year
  • Exterior benches - $300 each
  • Composters - 2 at $100.00 each
  • Rain water collection barrels - 2 at $150.00 each
